UNACCO School Chanung stands as a distinguished Private, Fully Residential Co-educational institution affiliated with the CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (CBSE), New Delhi. Offering a diverse array of academic choices, the school is committed to providing a comprehensive education.

The academic year kicks off on April 1 each year, with the school structured into two distinct levels:

·      Junior School, covering grades 4-6

·      Middle School, covering grades 7-8

·      Senior School, covering grades 9-12

 

The curriculum is designed to foster a profound understanding of basic concepts, laying a strong foundation for future academic pursuits. Beginning in the Junior School, emphasis is placed on project and activity-based learning, enriching students’ educational experience. Classroom pedagogy in this phase becomes content-centric, setting the stage for a seamless transition into Middle School, where interdisciplinary learning takes centre stage.

Students are nurtured to become independent learners, actively engaging with subjects through hands-on approaches. The Research Lab and Learning Resource Centre serve as instrumental tools in realizing this goal. Equipped with the specifications of National and International Examination Boards, specialized teaching rooms cater to Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social Science, Linguistics, Computer, and Mathematics.

Notably, the CBSE’s three-language formula is embraced, mandating each student to undertake a third language. The options include Meitei Mayek, Hindi, and a third language of the student’s preference, providing a well-rounded linguistic education.
